Emily Pembroke is a science teacher at Edgewater High School. She primarily teaches biology and environmental science.
Emily Pembroke received her Masters degree in education from the Western Oregon University and started her teaching career at the middle school level. She moved on to high school biology six years later and relocated to Hidden Rock where she’s been employed at Edgewater High School ever since. She is 43-years-old and married.
Emily is one of the most respected teachers at the school and both a role model and a confidant for many teens. Outside of her teaching duties, Emily established the school’s Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Club of which Kasira Vang is a member. She also organizes the school’s participation in Saturnalia on the Stitchwort, an annual craft fair held at the nearby Settler’s Woodland County Park.

Although he was a mediocre student, she built a close rapport with him and they bonded over a shared affinity for weird facts of nature and nacho cheese Doritos. During his sophomore year, Zac became the student aide for Ms. Pembroke’s marine biology class where he was assigned to mentor a new student named John Gervais.
