The School by the River
Along the Stitchwort River's eastern bank lies the Edgewater High School. The original school, known colloquially as "Old Edgewater," was built in the early twentieth century and located on the opposite bank from the town in order to be more accessible to farming families. This caused problems during bad weather or flooding however, when Edgewater was inaccessible to nearly everyone. There were even a handful of occasions when the students were trapped at the school when the river jumped its banks. |
